He was predeceased by: his parents, George Towne and Mary Towne (O'Dea); his brothers, George, John, Robert and William; and his cousin Pat O'Dea.
He is survived by: his spouse Francoise St. Hilaire; his daughters, Suzanne Towne (John Cramer), Stacey Vorhies (Robert Vorhies) and Cindy McCaffrey (Scott McCaffrey); his grandchildren, Miles, Annalise Cramer, Katie, Mahlon, Hanna, Larrson Vorhies, James and Patrick McCaffrey; and his cousin Christina Madden of Clare, Ireland.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
