With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Bell of Meriden, Connecticut, born in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on December 10, 2021 at the age of 100. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert Bell to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Bell (Hale); his parents, Frederick Bell and Maude Bell (Hardcastle); his brothers, George, Fred and Arthur Bell; his son-in-law James Wilson; and his friend Doris Burgess.
He is survived by: his daughters, Betty Wilson (Joe Emond) and Susan Purcell; his grandchildren, Kim Hidalgo (Eddie), Wendy Gaynor, Robert Purcell (Ito Issam), Michael Purcell (Carrie), Bethany Root (Glenn), Jennifer Yanosky (Garrick) and Jay Wilson (Carri); and his great grandchild Susan. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday December 15th from 4:00 p. m. until 7:00 p. m. and attend his funeral service at 6:30 p. m. at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St. Facial masks and social distancing will be required.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert Bell may be made to Center Congregational Church, 374 Broad St., Meriden, CT 06450.
