He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurel Szamier O'Brien (Horton) and Donald Szamier Sr.. He is survived by: his fiancée Janice Trautner; his siblings, David Szamier, Donald Szamier Jr. and Susan Perry (Jesse) of Meriden; his cousins, Rodney and Cynthia Thomas; and his siblings' children, Donald III, Barbie, Tanya, Paul, Heather, Timothy Jr., Joey Lynn, Olivia, Sofia and Kaiden.
