He was predeceased by: his parents, Jan Kataneksza and Stefania Kataneksza (Kapal); and his sister Felicia Piworowicz. He is survived by: his wife Krystyna Kataneksza (Owczarek); his children, Nancy Bowden (Craig) and Robert Kataneksza of Meriden; his grandchildren, Hannah Bowden, Jasmine Bowden and Maya Bowden; his siblings, Anna Machnik of Meriden and Ted Kataneksza of Meriden; and his sister-in-law Helena Kataneksza of Meriden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
