He is survived by : his spouse Kathryn "Kay" Shumbo (Mayer); his parent Mary Shumbo (Kurek); his children, Michael Shumbo (Tracy) of Moodus, Emily Bartosiak of Portland and Melissa DiSisto (Gregory) of Orlando; his sister Theresa Pulcini of Deep River; and his grandchildren, Kristin Shumbo, Betsy Bartosiak, Leanne Bartosiak, Kadie DiSisto and Khloe DiSisto. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
