He was predeceased by: his parents, James Best and Catherine Best (Murtha); his daughter Joann Best; and his brothers, Edward Korowotny, Louis (Barbara Hennessey), Gerald (Marion Hennessey) and Neal Hennessey (Leo Hennessey).
He is survived by: his wife Arline Best (Hennessey); his children, Little League Baseball, Jamie Damato (Tony), Michael Best, Kyle Best (Kim), Brian Best (Diana), Chas Best (Amy Cardona) and Thomas Best (Jennifer Anderson); his sister Marilyn Korowotny; and his sisters-in-law, Randi Dibble (Don) of Naugatuck and Barbara Hennessey of Naugatuck. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and cousins.
