He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Shemanski and Stella Shemanski (Konopinski); his son John Shemanski, Jr.; and his siblings, Joseph, Henry Shemanski, Jr. and Frances Connolly.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Shemanski (Zelenski); his daughter Joan Neveski (Harry) of Naugatuck; his grandchildren, Samantha, Adam Neveski, Brandon and Ryan Shemanski; his great grandchild Chloe Brown; and his siblings, Frank Shemanski of Naugatuck, Chester Shemanski, Lillian Bonczek, Ann Tickowski and Dorothy Snopkowski of Naugatuck. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
