With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Josefa Carneiro (Naugatuck, Connecticut), who passed away on May 12, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Jose B. Carneiro; and her parents, Modesto Garcia and Teresa Dias Garcia (Garcia). She is survived by: her children, Antonio Carneiro (Marguerita) of Portugal, Jose Carneiro (Helena) of Virginia, Manuel Carneiro (Teresa) of Delaware, Mario Carneiro of Maryland, Teresa DaSilva (Armando) of Naugatuck and Maria A. Medeiros (Augusto) of Naugatuck; and her siblings, Manuel Teixeira of Portugal, Antonio Teixeira of Spain, Jose Dias of Spain, Gloria Teixeira of Spain and Paidade Dias Garcia of Portugal. She is also survived by twenty five grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
