She was predeceased by: her parents, Belmiro Pereira Soares and Maria Dias Pereira; her sister Maria Julia; her brother-in-law Lino Campos; her sister Guilhermina Soares; and her niece Suzanne Soares.
She is survived by: her husband Manuel Valente; her daughters, Michele Valente of Milford and Raquel; her son-in-law Frank DeNigris; her grandsons, Kyle of Morris and Derek of Morris; her brother Manuel; her sister-in-law Laura Soares of Watertown; her sister Beatriz; her brother-in-law Manuel Silva of Porto Portugal; her brother Jose; her sister-in-law Fernanda Soares of Naugatuck; and her siblings' children, Isabel Campos, Armindo Sousa, Daniel, Sheila Soares, Richard Soares, Victor, Sofia Silva, Sandra, Carlos Duarte, Steve and Alicia Soares.
