It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marieta Matos of Naugatuck, Connecticut, who passed away on October 1, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband William F. Matos; her parents, Olive Hogen and Paul Swisher; her grandfather Tom Hogen; her children, Paul S. Matos (Irene R. Matos), Karen A. Boccuzzi (Nicholas) and Lynn M. Vergnetti; her grandchildren, Danielle M. Matos, Alex Ryley Matos, Nicholas C. Boccuzzi, III, Erica L. Boccuzzi and Sara F. Vergnetti; her half-siblings, Tom Taggert, Kenneth Taggert, Lynn Brue and Jean Johnson; her siblings-in-law, Manuel P. Matos and Ardith Swisher; her son Mark W. Matos; her grandchildren, Kyle W. Boccuzzi and Brett L. Boccuzzi; her brother Dr. Lowell P. Swisher, MD; her half-brother George Taggert; her aunt Edith Hogen; and her uncle Marvis Hogen. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Everyone attending is required to wear a facial covering and to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

In lieu of flowers and to honor Marieta's memory, contributions can be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
