Raymond Magas Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Magas (Naugatuck, Connecticut), born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 1, 2019, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Magas and Helen Magas (Yeliga); his son Kenneth Magas; his grandsons, Keith Magas and Christopher Rykoski; and his siblings, Elmer, Leo, Michael, Elizabeth Swiderski and Helena Alegi.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Magas (Regina) of Southbury and Diane Rykoski (David) of Middlebury; his daughter-in-law Rita Magas of Durham, NC; his sisters, Elaine Tedesco and Jane LeBlanc; his siblings-in-law, John Alegi, Eleanor Magas and Lois Nemet; and his grandchildren, Kenneth Magas (Kristan), Kraig Magas (Amy), Lisa El-Asmar (Mahmoud), Sean Dunn (Michele) and Timothy Rykoski (Jasmine). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews and their children.
