He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lauf and Eleanor Lauf; his brother Joseph Lauf; and his niece Carrie Macedonia. He is survived by: his siblings, Theresa Lauf, Eleanor Macedonia (David) and John Lauf (Debbie); his siblings' children, Eric Macedonia (Jill) and Colleen Loughran; and his great-nephew Theo Macedonia.
