He was predeceased by: his spouse Jacqualine Petruzzi (Lawrence); his parents, Canio Petruzzi and Lucy Petruzzi (Martinelli); and his brothers, Joseph Petruzzi and Canio "Ken" Petruzzi.
He is survived by: his sons, Ted Douty (Sharon) of Naugatuck and Scott Douty (Carol) of Naugatuck; his niece Tracie Wrinn of Wolcott; his siblings, Mark Petruzzi (Rosalie) of Bristol, Cathy Lebel and Mark Flinter of Waterbury; his sister-in-law Annette Petruzzi of Waterbury; and his grandchildren, Thomas and Erica Douty. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
