He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Waranowicz; his parents, Michael Waranowicz and Stella Waranowicz (Ostapiec); and his siblings, Joseph, Jane and Helen.

He is survived by: his children, Bill Waranowicz, Bob Waranowicz (Karen), Lynn Butler (Rich) and Mark Waranowicz (Pam); his grandchildren, Nicholas Ugolik (Melissa), Luke Ugolik (Sarah), Dan, Cliff Shoemaker, Chris, Andrew and Meaghan Krenisky; and his great grandchildren, Barrett, Graham, Bowen, Maddy, Ben, Alish, Charlotte, Alexander and Oliver.
