As Daniel departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Daniel. Though Daniel may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his parents, Dick DePatie and Molly DePatie of New Canaan; and his brother John of Los Angeles, California..
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mark's Church (111 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan, CT 06840).
To honor of Dan's memory, donations can be made to St. Marks Church in New Canaan (http://www.stmarksnewcanaan.org) or Thymic Malignancy Interest Group (http://www.itmig.org). Dan made the ultimate gift of donating his affected organs to Thymic research at Yale University to further the knowledge of this complex cancer.
