He was predeceased by: his mother Carmen Gutierrez; and his brother Edwin Cartagena. He is survived by: his father Pedro Cartagena of New Haven; his children, Daniel Cartagena (Diana) and Haydeeliz Cartagena of New Haven; his brothers, Pedro Cartagena (Irma) of Cayey, Puerto Rico, William Cartagena of Moodus, CT, Miguel Cartagena (Ruth) of New Haven and José Cartagena of Buffalo, NY; and his grandchildren, Anaya Victoria Cartagena, Isabela Adelle Meléndez and Everlee Joy Cobos. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
