She was predeceased by: her parents, Sampson Smith and Alice Smith; her son Leon Shuler; and her siblings, Albert Cross, Carl Smith, Sampson Smith Jr., Delores Jink, Cora Smith and Henry Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Williams, Deapria Shuler-McKnight, Benjamin Shuler, Curtis Shuler and Latisa Shuler-Lawani; and her siblings, Mary and Edward Smith. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
