He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Jones and Mozella Stanch Jones; and his siblings, Larry Smith and Ella Mae Smith. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Michael McCown and Katrina Evans; his sisters, Bessie Lee Hopkins, Lorina Armfield, Patricia Moore and Mary Roberson (John); and his sister-in-law Mary Smith. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
