He was predeceased by: his parents, Linwood Files and Lessie Smith-Outlaw. He is survived by: his siblings, Stanley Outlaw and Lavonne Outlaw; his children, James Johnson (Angela) of Virginia, Tyrone Adams (Marthenia) of Connecticut, Jonathan Scott Files (Lucille) of Connecticut, Linwood Files (Donna) of Maryland, Sharon Renay Files of North Carolina, Tracy Files of Connecticut, Yolanda Moses of Connecticut and Neekal Johnson (William) of Maryland; and his close friend Lauren Edmondson. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
