She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie E. Best, Sr. and Frances Scott Best; her spouse Willie Spence; and her son Michael S. Spence. She is survived by: her son Willie Spence IV (Cheryl) of Stewart Manor; her grandchildren, Kristina and Michael Spence of Stewart Manor; and her brothers, Johnnie E. Best Jr. (Shelia) of Hamden and Curtis Lee Best (Keturah) of New Haven.
