He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph J. and Jennie Tuttle LeGrand Sr.; his wife Margaret Wynne LeGrand; his granddaughter Molly LeGrand; and his siblings, Jane Metrick and Charles LeGrand.
He is survived by: his children, Joseph J. LeGrand III (Mary) of Wallingford, Susan Kelley (Frederick) of Wallingford and Margaret McDonald (Kenneth) of Northford; his grandchildren, Kaitlin Snow, Kiernan Willis, Patrick Kelley, Heather McDonald, Michael McDonald, Sarah McDonald and Margaret LeGrand; his great grandchildren, Myles, Freddy, Shea and Kellyn; and his sister Marguerite Ferrucci of North Branford.
Due to the current pandemic a Mass of Christian Burial will be privately held in Devine Mercy Parish, Church of St. Rita with burial in All Saints Cemetery with military honors.
