It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lonnie Green Jr. of New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on March 18, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonie Green and Lula Roberts Green; and his children, Javan L. Green, Lonnie M. Harris and Lenea R. Harris.
He is survived by: his children, Sereader Green of Bolivia, NC, Shawne Green of Fulton, MS, Lula Mae of New Haven, CT, Loni Green of Tupelo, MS, Taysia Roberts (John) of Tupelo, MS, Reese Green (Carlyn) of New Haven, CT and Eric Cypress (LaToya) of Powhatan, VA.; his sister Sarah J. Gassaway of Redford, MI; his daughter-in-law Beverly Harris of Hamden, CT; and his nieces, Eddie Rene Collins, Sheila Stewart and Viola Marion. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
