He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ruby Barnwell, Jesse, Robert of Joe, L. C., Dennis, Sherman, Cleophus, Alonzo and Verlyn Williams.

He is survived by: his son Maurice Williams (Kimyatta); his wife Vivian Tripp; his children, Demetrice (Kimberly), Sherman (Yulanda) and Martiese (Curtis); his grandchildren, April, Vickie (Cedric) and William (Stephanie); and his sisters, Helen Wilson and Dorothy Little. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
