She was predeceased by: her husband Fernando Batista; her parents, Tómas Rivera and Santa Rivera; her daughter Milagros Báez; and her brothers, Miguel, Tómas, Juan, Wilfredo and Tánin Rivera.
She is survived by: her children, Carmen Vázquez of New Haven, Maria Luz Martínez of Lewiston, PA, Santa Hassett (Brian) of Port Charlotte, Jorge Vázquez of New Haven, Fernando Batista, Jr. of New Haven, Robert Batista of New Haven, Freddy Batista of New Haven and Nelson Batista (Denise) of New Haven; and her sister Iris Rivera (Anthony). She is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
