He was predeceased by: his parents, Deacon Hosie Hunter Sr. and Laura Bell Brock Hunter; his son Willie Hunter; and his siblings, Napolean, Robert, Hosie Hunter, Beulah Mae Hinton and Dorothy Hunter Mayfield.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Huckabey Hunter; his daughter Shirley Wiggins; his grandchildren, Angela Griffin (LaMarcus Griffin, Sr) and LeGerret Mosley (Rengen Mosley); his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and LaMarcus Griffin, Jr.; his brother Rev Simon Hunter (Viola); and his children, Bernard, James (Marty), Stephen, Barry Huckabey, Stephanie, Marilyn (Peaches) and Carolyn Huckabey (Nett). He is also survived by 7 children, 12 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, he proudly called HIS children.
