She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Moseley and Mary; her husband John Wilis Pickett Sr. (Dubby); her siblings, Anna Anderson, Frances Nelson, David Moseley, Clarence B. Moseley, Arthur Moseley, Tommy Mosely, Jeanette Moseley, Fay Moseley and Margarie; and her grandsons, James, Jeff "Stud" Moseley, Samuel Moseley and Reverend Albert Moseley, Sr..

She is survived by: her children, Sylinda Pickett, John "Smokey" W. Pickett Jr. (Tonya), Tammy Pickett, Kim Pickett-Hasan (Saladin) and Rhonda Pickett-Sims (Mike) of New Haven County; her stepdaughter Barbara Wilson (Simon) of North Carolina; her goddaughters, Tammy Benford (Jay-Bee) of Hamden, CT and Christina Grahmn of Jersey City, NJ; her children, Donald, Greg, Geraldine, Wayne, Doris, Tommy, Ronald, Timothy and Richard Ware V.; and her aunt Elizabeth Wilson of Clearwater, FL. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

She sponsored a variety of fundraisers which allowed the organization to also be able to give monetary donations to those in need.
