She was predeceased by: her parents, John Johnson and Christine Johnson; and her niece Cheryl Johnson. She is survived by: her husband William Dyson; her sons, Wilfred Dyson (Pondra), Erick Dyson (Stacie) and Michael Dyson (Keyona); and her siblings, Rosa Twiggs (Leo), John Johnson, Carrie Hopes (L. C. Bob), Pearl Williams, Earl Johnson, Hazel Stanley (George), Joseph Johnson (Yvonne), James Johnson (Jennifer), Miranda Johnson and Shirley Stokes. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Beck was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church over the past 20 years, as she served on the Missionary Board, the Mother's Board, and the Scholarship Foundation.
