He is survived by: his sister Juanita Dean (CT); his grandchildren, Mercedes Sykes, Richard Sykes III (Trey), Daysha Sykes, Tyrese Slade, Shante Sykes, Antrum Coston and William Newkirk, Jr.; and his great grandchild Arianna. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
