He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline Freeman (Dotts) and James Freeman. He is survived by: his wife Rosilyn Freeman; his children, Cassie Freeman of Tennessee, Sydney Freeman Jr. (Lynda) of Idaho and Marcus Freeman of New Jersey; his stepdaughter Brittany Odom of New Haven; and his siblings, Eddie Freeman, Horace Melton of New Haven, Daniel Freeman of Newington, Tina, Amanda Melton and Carol Melton. He is also survived by grandchildren as well as other host of relatives and friends.
