He was predeceased by: his parents, C. L. Sutton and Caroline Wheeler of Monticello, MS.; his siblings, Earnest Stewart and Dorothy Mims; and his son Jeffery Sutton.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie Sutton; and his children, Wilbert C., Trinka, Gregory (Tachema), Patrick, Tanya and Lamonte (Levonne). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; and a host of family and Friends.
