He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Harris Sr. and Geneva Bland Harris; his siblings, Adele Harris, Genevie McCoy (Rotha), Natalie Gardner (Ernest), June Augmon (Bert), Mary Ann Jordan (Thomas), William Harris (Phyllis) and Joseph Daniels; and his grandson Nolan L. McKevin.
He is survived by: his wife Annie Pearl Harris; his daughter Sheila Harris; his grandson Kieran Blackburn; his sister Hilda Denton (Joseph); and his sisters-in-law, JoAnn Johnson (Bruce), Gloria Willson (Jimmie) and Elsie Hall Maultsby. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fulton-Theroux Funeral Service (181 Ocean Ave, New London, CT 06320). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
