Sonny Pezzello Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sonny Pezzello (New London, Connecticut), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 19, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Pezzello and Lillian Pezzello (Baracco); and his siblings, Joseph, Ralph Sr., James Pezzello, Mary Shabarak, Helen Mancini, Annie Picardi, Josephine Rocchetti and Jane Giulietti.

He is survived by: his wife Lucia Cristofaro; and his sons, Frank Pezzello of New London, Anthony Pezzello of Quaker Hill, James Pezzello of New London and Chris Pezzello of Groton. He is also survived by Fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and numerous niece and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home (84 Montauk Ave, New London, CT 06320). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary Star of the Sea Church (10 Huntington St, New London, CT 06320).
