With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elaine Ransom McClure of Newtown, Connecticut, born in Hackensack, New Jersey, who passed away on December 11, 2023 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elaine Ransom McClure to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Jim Ransom and Ada Ransom; and her siblings, James "Jimbo" Ransom and Adele Brown. She is survived by : her husband Bill; her children, Jeffrey McClure (Joy), Laura Anastasia and Brittany Overmiller (Josh); her grandchildren, Ethan, Orin, Kieran, James, Oakley, Shawn and Xiomara; and her brother Keith Ransom (Laura). She is also survived by her sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

While on the board of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Center Foundation, she served as its treasurer.
