He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Gross and Rose Gross. He is survived by : his wife Renate Lubbering Gross; his children, Sherri Robertson (Cleo) of Louisville, CO, Alan Gross (Nancy) of Guilford and Richard Gross (Cyndi) of Branford; his grandchildren, Adam Daily (Tiffany), Taylor Wand, Kamryn Novella (Steven), Austin Wand and Nina Gross; his great grandchildren, Rylan, Joseph and Jackson Novella; and his sister Barbara Koch of Santa Rosa, CA. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
