It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janet Whelen Cowie of North Branford, Connecticut, born in New York, New York, who passed away on August 15, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, James C. Whelen and Helen Eder Whelen; and her siblings, Doris Rutherford, Helen Koness and James T. Whelen.

She is survived by : her husband Paul F. Cowie; her sons, Peter W. Cowie (Jennifer), Paul F. Cowie, Jr. (Lisa), Christopher B. Cowie (Susan) and Brian J. Cowie (Heidi); and her grandchildren, Paul F. Cowie III, Timothy W. Cowie, Catherine B. Cowie, Ian C. Perry and Jason B. Perry.
