He was predeceased by : his parents, Gabriele Scala and Giovanna Sarina Scala. He is survived by : his wife Maria I. Perfetto Scala; his children, Joanne Cifarelli (Azarias), Gabriele Scala (Dawn) and Edoardo Scala (Tracy); and his godchild Shinichi Boman (Teresa). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, brothers, and sisters.
