He was predeceased by : his parents, Claude Pate and Helen Pate (McCool); and his wife Mary Ellen (Pacheco). He is survived by : his children, Edward Henderson, Robin Lush, Tracy Corriveau, Leann Pate and Robert C. Pate Jr.; his stepchildren, Joseph Brochu, David Brochu and Susan Sellers; his brother George Pate; his grandchildren, Edena Espinoza, Deanna Buchner, Andrea Lush, Sara Day, Helena Benoit and Robert J. Pate Imbriano; and his great grandchildren, Lillian Day, Lucas Day and Ronan Espinoza.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Robert Pate Sr.'s memory may be made to the Soldiers, Sailors and Marines in Norwich to the American Cancer Society.
