He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Karen Kanawall Arnold; his parents, Ernest Arnold and Ruth Crosthwait Arnold; his children, Lindsey Alexandra Arnold and Kenneth Joseph Shelinsky (Stephanie); his brothers, Anthony, Paul and Ernie Arnold; and his grandson Jackson Shelinsky.
Rich never really retired and up to his last days, he did short calendar, zoomed court cases during the pandemic and wrote decisions.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Rich's memory may be made to either BH Care for Domestic Violence, Project Purple for Pancreatic Cancer or the UCONN Foundation.
