He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Blanche Perry of Griswold and Sven Johnson of Griswold; his stepmother Neysa Johnson; and his siblings, Patricia Gluck (Mark), Christelle Lachapelle and Ron Johnson. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Alan to the First Congregational Church of Griswold or the Griswold Volunteer Fire Co.
