She was predeceased by: her husband Jose Francisco Duarte; her parents, Pedro A. Araujo and Angelina Julia Araujo (Brito); her daughter Angelina DaGraca; her grandsons, Maurice Glenn and Matthew J. Duarte; and her siblings, Jose M. Duarte, Mica Brito and Julia Brito.
She is survived by: her children, Peter Duarte (Melvenie) of Waterbury, Maria L. Glenn (Walter) of Hephzibah, GA and Monique DaGraca; and her brother Miguel Brito of Cape Verde. She is also survived by granddaughter who she raised, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren.
