Salvatore DiMauro Obituary
We bid farewell to Salvatore DiMauro of Portland, Connecticut, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 17, 2025 at the age of 84. Salvatore touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosario DiMauro and Rosa DiMauro; his son Rosario "Tom" DiMauro; his sister Jenny; and his brother-in-law Sebastian LaBella.
He is survived by: his wife Ida DiMauro (Parnasso); his daughters, Rose Marie (Shawn Carlson), Josephine (William Unikewicz) and Lorraine (Michael LaMalfa); his siblings, Josephine (Joseph Bartolotta), John (Maryellen DiMauro) and Tony (Barbara DiMauro); and his grandchildren, Jessica (Christopher), Christopher (Cassandra), Nicholas (Kaitlyn), Kristina, Alyssa (Tucker), Brendan, Michael (Paige), Mya, Kayla and Joseph. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the D'Angelo Funeral Home (22 S Main St, Middletown, CT 06457). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (45 Freestone Ave, Portland, CT 06480). A burial was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at the St. Sebastian's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Connecticut Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
