He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce C. Higgins; and his parents, Francis Higgins and Rhena Ruth Higgins (Sawyer). He is survived by: his children, Margaret Goebel (Peggy) of Little River, SC, Robin D'Andrea (Wayne) of Milford, Rhena Higgins of Trumbull, Robert "Bobby" Higgins (Nancy) of Wallingford and Raymond Higgins (Courtney) of Milford; and his sisters, Marcia Volturno of Naples and Barabara Tardiff of Shelton. He is also survived by 20 loving grandchildren and 12 cherished great-grandchildren.
