He is survived by: his spouse Shelly Horniatko (Crawford); his parent Anna Agnes Horniatko (Majewski); his children, Marc Horniatko (Sarah) of Simsbury, Kelly Soukup (Kurt) of Vieques, PR and David Horniatko (Jennifer Young) of Simsbury; his grandchildren, Kaylaa, Emma and James; his nephew Jamie Messenger (Debbie); his nieces, Deanna Messenger, Michele Timchak and Kat Stulpin; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Stulpin (Bob) and Stephen Crawford.
