It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Madelyn Valence (Simsbury, Connecticut), born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on May 24, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Richard E. Valence; her parents, Edward and Mary Galvin (Carolan); her daughter Michelle Mortimer (Michael) of Bristol; her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Brett Mortimer; her brother Ed Galvin of Woodbury; her niece Liz; and her nephews, Chris and Will.

Madelyn also knit prayer shawls for the sick and made rosary beads for donation to those incarcerated.
