She was predeceased by : her husband John Henry (Jack); and her children, Henry (Hank), Rosemarie (Rose) and William (Billy). She is survived by : her children, Lisa Voorvaart of Simsbury, CT, Voorvaart Derouen (Michael) of West Union, SC and Peter Voorvaart (Darla) of Windsor Locks, CT; her daughters-in-law, Sharon Voorvaart of Pt Judith, RI and Christine Voorvaart of Coventry, CT; her grandchildren, Andrew Laplante, Chelsea Voorvaart, Rachael Johnson, Amanda Voorvaart, Tucker Voorvaart, Bailey Voorvaart, Burton Koch, Elizabeth Koch, Lindsay Derouen Combs, Katie Reilly and Alex Reilly; and her great grandchildren, Jacob Johnson and Railynn Johnson.

She closed the door on her professional career at the age of 75 when she retired from The American Cancer Society after 14 years of service, with her last position being the Direct Marketing Specialist, a job she absolutely loved.
