He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ellen Barry (Unwin); his parents, John J. Barry, Sr. and Eileen F. Barry (Harrington); and his sons-in-law, Glen Carvey and Phil Choma.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathleen E. Choma; his granddaughter Deanna Choma (Felipe Lombello) of Florida; his daughter Stacey L. Slater (Kevin Slater); his grandchildren, Shannon and Connor Slater of Florida; his daughter Kristin B. Kealy (Timothy Kealy); his grandchildren, Mairead and Ailis Kealy of Monson, MA; his son John J. Barry IV "Jack" (Karen Barry); his grandchild Ciara Barry of Coventry, CT; and his sister Eileen Constant (Michael) of East Hartford, CT. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Memorial donations may be made to American Legion Post No. 26, 10 Monson Rd., Stafford Springs, CT 06076 for a scholarship fund in his name.
