He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Del Vecchio, Sr. and Assunta Del Vecchio (Festo); his wife Carole (Caputo); his siblings, Margaret Del Vecchio, Leonard Del Vecchio Jr. and Daniel Del Vecchio Sr.; and his parents-in-law, Marie Taylor, Antonio Caputo, Gloria Caputo and Lorraine Romano.
He is survived by: his children, Jodi Del Vecchio, Richard Del Vecchio, Jr. (Lori) and Robyn Bakes (Dimitri); his grandchildren, Alicia Del Vecchio and Richard Del Vecchio III; his brother Robert; and his sisters-in-law, Rosemary Del Vecchio and Rose Caputo. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
