He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Julianne E. Winters (Kandefer); his parents, George and Elizabeth Winters (Shortell); his siblings, Richard Winters of Manchester, Eric Winters (Nancy) of Windsor and Dianne Gustafson of Manchester; and his brother-in-law Daniel Kandefer, Jr. (Mary Ann) of Torrington. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
