He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Sr. Blaze and Betty McClune Blaze. He is survived by: his wife Jean; his sons, John J. Blaze III of Bridgeport and Jeffrey Blaze of Trumbull; his siblings, Daniel Blaze (Gina) of Easton, Lee Blaze of Seymour and Rebeca Mitchell (Brian) of Shelton; and his brother-in-law Hank Maxwell of Waterbury. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
