He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Woosley Bassett and Helen Adelaide Bassett. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Plassmann Bassett; his sister Carolyn Krenz; his nieces, Susan Preis (Gavin) of California and Betsy Hopwood (Mark) of Florida; his nephew Brian Bassett (Kim) of Oxford; his grandchildren, Megan, Saumya Goel-Preis, Courtney Preis, Benjamin Bassett, William Bassett, Jonathan Bassett, Emily Bassett, Sawyer Hopwood, Rose Hopwood and Levi Hopwood; and his great grandchildren, Liliana and Joseph Truman.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home (419 White Plains Rd, Trumbull, CT 06611).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lakewood-Trumbull YMCA, in support of Chronic Disease Programs.
